UPASI TEA RESEARCH FOUNDATION

The UPASI Tea Research Foundation (TRF), a world renowned premier tea research institute, intends to recruit a Joint Director, to be positioned at the Tea Research Institute, in Valparai, Coimbatore District.  The candidate should be around 50 years of age and should have a Ph.D. degree in any branch of basic or agricultural sciences.  The incumbent should be well versed in research relating to any of the agricultural / horticultural crops.  Preference will be given to those with research experience in plantation crops.  Experience in tea research will be an added advantage.  The candidate should have proven leadership quality and research publications in reputed research journals, experience in independently handling funded research projects and ability  to guide and lead a team of dedicated research and extension scientists at the TRF.  The job requires frequent  interaction with the plantation company executives and small tea growers..  The post is in the pay scale of Rs 25,200 – 1,250 – 30,200 – 1,500 – 37,700 – 1,875 – 47,075 – 2,350 – 58,825 with a Dearness allowance of 25% of the basic and additional benefits like contributory provident fund, medical assistance, pension, furnished accommodation etc.
